Shirin is married and has two children and two grand children. Both of her children are physicians. She with her husband and two children left Iran before the revolution of 1979 in order to get more education. Shirin Completed her BA and MA. She taught 11 years in Iran before the revolution occurred and 19 years at Friends University in Wichita, Ks.
During the last 30 years that she has been living in the USA she has traveled many times to Iran in order to see her family. The last 10 years every summer when she is there she would take all the Sanati orphanage talented children and teenagers for one day to Mahan Kerman. Her parents have properties still in Mahan.
The orphanage children would be treated to an exciting day full of happiness and late in the afternoon they would go back to the Sanati Orphanage. This is a very special day for her. It takes her at least two weeks to be prepared with the help of her sisters and her nieces. Usually these wonderful children have breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. They sing, dance, pick fruits from the garden and they really have an exciting day.

Shirin has always been dreaming of doing something more for those young kids. This year after lunch one of the orphanage teenagers who she knew for many years sang a song in a manner that broke her heart and made her and many of her family cry. The overwhelming emotion forced Shirin to leave the group until the song had ended.
By the time Shirin was back to the US she was thinking there must be a way to help those orphanage children to have a better future. One midnight she woke up and an idea came to her mind. Why not start a NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION? With a little help from everyone we can improve the life of these children who are living in poverty.
